Presented by the Guilford Coalition for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention (GCAPP) Thursday / February 23 / 5:30pm-7pm Children learn their values by constantly watching the people who care for them - by seeing what you do and how you act. Children begin learning about sexuality when they are sensitive to a parent's silent signals. By the time shildren start school they already know a lot about human sexuality, especially their own. Sexuality education includes sex, but also the roles, behaviors, and values people associate with being a man or a woman. Sexuality is both physical and emotional. Planned Parenthood strongly believes that sexuality education begins in the home and that a parent is a child's most important sexuality educator. They feel that everyone, regardless of age, is entitles to accurate information regarding sexuality at an appropriate level. We promote abstinence first and the encourage safe sex second.
